- Born in
Pancevo in the former Yugoslavia, in 1947, the sculptor Wasa Marjanov
has lived and worked in Düsseldorf for nearly 20 years. He has
dedicated himself to the relationship between architecture, the human
being and urban conditions; with irony and symbolic innuendo, he has
developed an artistic vocabulry rich in modulations.

- Marjanov
arrived comparatively late at his artistic profession. Following an
apprenticeship as locksmith and studies in mechanical engineering, in
the years 1976 to 1983 he studied under Christian Megert at the
Düsseldorf Art Academy, where he was a member of the master class.
